Re-Geocoding your Customers

If your customers are showing on the map in areas you do not expect there could be a couple of reasons.

  1. The address has changed since they were entered into Opmetrix

  2. The address is incorrectly formatted for it to determine exactly where it is

The best way to check these is to go to Geocode Maintenance

There you can find your list of customers and their associated Geocodes.


Re-Geocoding involves clearing out the current Geocodes and loading in new ones. This is typically done once you have identified that either the address is new or that the address is incomplete. You can update these in your Accounting Software and we will import on the next hour.

Clearing out Geocodes

  1. Select Actions

  2. Select Delete Geocodes

  3. Confirm you want to delete your Geocodes

Re-Geocoding

  1. Select Actions

  2. Select Geocode Now

  3. You will see a progress bar show, once complete it will show Geocode Complete

  4. Once complete you can refresh the page and see new Lat and Long values
